The Monster has a name and it is............. Kai Cameron Hattingh!

Finally.... It's a boy.

Now the difficult part, getting over saying it. It is now a he or Kai. Ellen and Dayton (Desiree's parents) came with us to see the ultrasound of baby Kai, he has all his fingers, toes, arms and legs. He was extremely active and constantly jumped around, kicked, and would not sit still (just like his mother!). He is named after one of my best friends growing up, Kai Rattey now Kai Harrison. Him and I went through alot together and he was sometimes the only person in the world who could relate to me and be my friend. Kai weighed approximately 14 oz as of September 5th..... now probably a pound. All our thoughts are with all our family and friends who live down in Houston and surrounding areas we hope that you guys are safe and that everything is fine when all is said and done with Hurricane Ike. We put some more stuff in the nursery, (blue stuff of course) and also went out and got some onesies, clothing, and other stuff for the spoiled brat. I will end this update on that note and will have some more news soon, in the meantime I am posting updated pictures of the nursery and will post the ultrasound pictures at a later date.

First posting and update....

Hey everyone,

I am starting this blog to update everybody on whats going on on a more frequent basis with Desiree and I as well as Baby Hattingh. I will try to update as much as possible as we go through the weeks.
The nursery is pretty much done, and we have pretty much got everything we need for awhile except all the little things and essentials......and sex specific items and, and, and, and.....you get the idea (hahahahahaha).
Thank you Dad, Mom (Kristen), and Griffin for the gifts, you guys are the best and spoiled the little brat before he/she was even born, but also you guys have provided me with the strength and serenity I needed to tackle this huge milestone in my life which can never be repaid I am able to be strong and headstrong not only for me but for Desiree to . Thank you Dayton and Ellen, now Baby Hattingh will be riding in style. You guys are and I am sure will be in the future... life savers. Your unselfishness and love for not only Desiree but myself included has saved us more times than I would like to admit . Thanks Michael for the dresser (I still don't know if you gave it to us) but none-the-less we will use it as much as possible. Hopefully I will keep up with this as much as possible.
That's it for now.
